Funding entity Endesa
The objective of this colaboration is to put in operation the whole SGP for the realisation and analysis of the economic forecasts of the Spanish utility Endesa. This colaboration will mainly focus on the final tuning and improvement of the forecast and analysis tools developped in past colaborations, but also on training and know-how transfer to reach a suitable transition to the new tools. SGP is an information system developped by IIT for the Energetic Planning Subdirection of the Spanish electrical utility Endesa, for the calculus, analysis and management of forecasts for of the whole utility. The system has a client-server architecture based on an Oracle database server. Client applications include a system for gathering and exchanging information among the different business areas, a scenario configuration module for selecting the information to be used in the forecasting process, the main forecasting module, a forecast sensibility analysis and the modules for the final reports.
